Experience
Judy was a Horticulture Instructor at Merritt College in the Peralta Community College District, from 1977-2007, teaching full-time for 30 years.
She taught basic courses including Introduction to Lan. Hort., Arboriculture, Turf Management and Plant Terminology. She also taught Plant Identification classes on Trees, Groundcovers and Vines, Shrubs, CA Natives, Herbaceous Plants, and Tropical Plants. In addition, Judy taught classes in Forestry, Redwood Ecology, Desert Studies classes in the Environmental Studies Department. She is the owner of Bay
Area Plant Consultants, offering arboricultural and horticultural consulting for cities and
homeowners in the Bay Area.
